First time I read through this about 5 years ago I got to the scene where Eddie dies. I have never in my life had such a visceral negative reaction to a book. I completely dropped it. I was too pissed off. Well I picked it back up a week ago after finishing the expanse and was looking around for something epic, decided to go back in and complete it this time. About 3/4 thru the wastelands and I’m so excited to have got back into this. It’s such an utter work of genius. I’m just hoping to finally get to the end.
