Medical marijuana is the only thing that relieves my debilitating spasms, but it causes horrible anxiety. How can I mitigate this?
I have suffered from debilitating chronic neck and back spasms for the past 5 years. They are severe enough that they forced me to drop out of medical school.
I really do not enjoy marijuana, but my medical prescription is the only thing that touches the spasms. When I vape it, my pain and spasms drop from a 9/10 to a 1/10 in a matter of minutes. It works better than any narcotic pain medication or any other prescription my doctors have tried.
The problem is that it triggers horrible racing thoughts and intense anxiety. I've tried many different strains, and while people often say indica is best for avoiding anxiety, I haven't noticed much of a difference between them.
Does anyone have advice on how to mitigate the anxiety while still getting the physical relief?
