Thinking about Ultherapy but terrified of facial fat loss. How common is it actually?

I have been doing a lot of research on skin tightening treatments here in Seoul and Ultherapy keeps coming up.

However, after reading through various forums and medical literature, I have developed a fear regarding the risk of facial fat loss. Since I already have a relatively lean face, the last thing I want is to end up looking gaunt or aged by thinning out what little volume I have.

I know that tech heavy treatments like this are common in the industry here, but I am curious if anyone who has actually gone through it has experienced this, or if it is more of an overblown concern in the online community.

I am looking for honest perspectives, not marketing talk. If you have any experience with this specific side effect or know of safer alternatives for someone with a slimmer face, I would really appreciate the input.

Thanks!

Got a quote for a body contouring package: does this price sound fair for the quality?

Following up on my search for a more thorough, patient-focused clinic. I’ve had a consultation regarding body contouring, and I’m trying to gauge if this pricing is standard or if I’m hitting that foreigner markup again.

The clinic quoted me 599,000 KRW for a package including 80kJ of Body ONDA and 6cc of upper arm contouring injection.

For those who have had similar treatments, does this range make sense for a reputable, non-chain clinic? I am perfectly willing to pay for quality and safety, but I’m still trying to navigate what’s considered a reasonable premium for a thorough consultation versus just overpaying for the clinic's marketing budget.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

Tired of the sales-first consultation culture in clinics. Are there any truly patient-centered options left?

I’ve been living in Seoul for a while now, and I’m finding the medical consultation culture quite challenging.

My experiences so far have felt like a fast-food model: the doctor spends 60 seconds on a diagnosis, then immediately pivots to a 10-minute sales pitch for expensive, unnecessary treatments. Coming from a background where medical consultations are the priority, this has been a bit of a culture shock.

Does anyone have recommendations for clinics that are known for putting the patient’s health before the profit margin? I’d really appreciate any leads,it’s been tough finding a place that feels like a real doctor's office...

Does every clinic in Seoul operate on a "fast-food" medical model?

I’ve been in Seoul for a couple of months now. I’m really enjoying life here, but I’m struggling with the medical system.

Every clinic I’ve visited so far feels like a factory conveyor belt. The doctor sees me for maybe 60 seconds, doesn't really listen, and then immediately pivots to upselling expensive treatments. Coming from Germany, I’m used to a system where the consultation is the priority, so this has been a bit of a culture shock.

Has anyone else dealt with this? I’m happy to pay for a private consultation fee if it means finding a doctor who actually takes the time to listen and isn't just trying to push procedures.

Any recommendations for thorough clinics? Thanks!
