Payment of tuition fees and scholarships

Hi, I recently got my acceptance from sutd and I am wondering when students get billed for both their hostel and tuition fees. For context, im an international student with the tuition grant.

I saw on ntu’s website that those with the tuition grant will be billed in the first term, while those without it have to pay before the term starts. Is it any different for sutd?

Also, I saw that sutd offers mid term scholarships and im looking forward to applying. But with that being said, im not sure how competitive it is to get these scholarships. Is there a gpa range I should be aiming for? Is it difficult to have a gpa of 4.0+ (I will be studying csd)? Lastly, when do I get to apply for these scholarships? Is it only at the end of term 3?

Thanks for reading this. Any help would be appreciated!

Application response

Hi, Im one of the many applicants who was ghosted by sutd before deciding to contact them. After which, I managed to get an interview invite without the maths/physics qns. Currently still waiting for my application outcome. I saw many people in the same position as me and I am not sure what steps to take moving forward. Would it be wise to contact them again to enquire about my application status? Its been 2 weeks since my interview and my interviewer was relatively nice and super chill. I didn’t feel like I messed up. Also, does getting invited for an interview without the math/physics qn mean a higher chance of being admitted? I’d appreciate any response and personal experience(s). I am worried that they will forget to review my application again.

Hi, I’ve been scrolling quite deep down this subreddit ever since my conversation and I found that you can gauge whether your interview/conversation went well or not based on what the interviewer says at the end. iirc I read somewhere that once they say that you are “a good fit” for the university you are basically in. Is this true or do they say this to everyone? Has anybody ever gotten rejected after hearing this or accepted despite not getting this response? Sorry if this may come out as dumb, just need to clarify how true this is.
