I'm new to the game and I was wondering what cold tyres could do? I know too hot tyres wear faster but what happens if the temperature meter goes all the way to the bottom? I noticed some AI just run the blue driving mode and let their tyres go cold for a whole stint. Does it work or there's some kind of penalty for having cold tyres?
I'm playing the vanilla endurance races.
I usually run races of 30 minutes at most, with maxed-out graphics and an average of 90 to 100 FPS at WQHD, and I've never had any issues. Recently, I started trying longer multi-class races, around 1 to 2 hours long. The problem is that once I pass the 30-minute mark, the FPS starts dropping drastically. The more time passes, the lower the FPS gets, until it becomes unplayable.
I’ve already tried lowering the graphics settings and reducing the car count (running 20 LMDh and 20 GT3 Gen.2), but with no success. I also checked my component temperatures to see if it was a thermal throttling issue, but everything is operating in the 70°C range. I honestly don’t know what it could be. Has anyone else experienced this or knows how to fix it?
