Not perfect, but it will do. I used Southern yellow pine deck boards 5/4 x 6 x 8 cut down to my string line as i went down the slope. Gate works good etc

Putting in the pool this year I thought the old fence was still in good shape , the posts on the one half were floating off the footers . The posts on the other half i reused except for the one as all were very sturdy and good shape, it seems.

I think around 340 pickets for this bsck fence, i have to do the one side stil then can eventually stain once all drys out.

Dug and set all 4x4 posts , 3 inch gravel base , 26 on deep , 2.5 80ib bags mixed cement ea post .

Rails attachef to posts GRK 3 and 1/8 struvture screws , i used 3 ea rail end to post so 18 screws total .

Pickets 5/4 x 6 x 8 cut down as i went from higher point of yard to lower .

Nailed pickets using nailer , 2 3/8

Think i did ok first time building fence.

How much would this fence cost to hire out???

Was hoping i wouldnt need to dig old posts out and now that i see how the footers are im probably going to cut base on the bad posts and dig new holes to set new but that in turn may leave me with a 4ft section to gate rather than at side fence. One hole and i still can't pop the footer, and it's kicked my butt lol

I built this gate. It has self closing hinges and top pull latch for pool safety code. The leafs are 44.5 in ea, height 75 in. I was just curious on what price expectation would be if i had hired someone to do it. Yes, i know it would have been better built, but I just wondered on pricing.

This is my first gate build, and i ended up making the gate level rather than trying to keep it in alignment with unlevel fence. It's also self closing with pull latch as i have a pool. Im hoping yhe slats and stain will help the visual not seem so off. It doesn't look bad straight on just when im on the higher side of property. Thoughts?
