Should I sell or donate my car?
I got a couple quotes from services that buy used cars.
It's a 2011 Lexus ES 350. It has 178k miles on it.
I listed the car as "fair" condition (as opposed to "good" or even "decent"). The quotes I got were around $2,500. But when I described the car, I wasn't able to include that it has an exhaust pipe leak (makes a loud sound but works fine), a loose door handle (the labor involved makes it too costly to fix) and a shot battery. I couldn't find a place to indicate that on the form. There are no other significant problems with the car.
Should I just donate it rather than having someone come out to look at the car, only to knock down the price to something not worth anyone's time?
