OpenBor on Mac launcher v2.0
Hi, this is a message for the few people who use emulators to play games from obscure consoles, like me (though I’m not sure if you could even call this one a console, since it’s more commonly viewed as an open-source game engine).
I’ve released version 2.0 of the OpenBor emulator (which is still a fork of a historic 2010 release created by a developer named DCurrent, if I’m not mistaken) that fixes many bugs from the old version I released in March and adds a lot of quality-of-life features:
- Pause and resume gameplay
- Save functions
- Quick menu with a configurable key within the launcher
- Shader selection, with per-game or global defaults.
- Addition of 3 new languages (Italian, Portuguese, Spanish)
- New animated arcade style (animation can be disabled in the menu) for the launcher
- Rewind timeline with 30 half-second checkpoints, chronological previews,
non-destructive browsing, confirmation/cancel, and short navigation sounds.
And for last, I can finally say that the engine is 100% metal (OpenGL is still selectable in the menu)
