I am really struggling with R&W, esp information and ideas section - which choice most logically completes the text ones
I know all the YouTube videos say to read chunk by chunk and compare each word in answer choice against the actual passage, and make sure they’re not adding any new info.
But it takes me so much time to do it, and wondering if you all have any good effective tips for this question type.

For those who got some awards or high commendation stuff before, what was the process like after getting shortlisted?
Hi all, my brother was shortlisted for the John Locke Institute essay competition and got an invitation to the awards gala. A few questions for anyone who’s been through this:
**1. Ticket deadline**
does anyone know how far in advance you need to book gala tickets?
**2. Buying blind**
since the shortlist invite doesn’t confirm an actual award, is it worth buying a ticket without knowing if you’ve won anything?
**3. Do they notify winners early?**
has anyone heard whether JLI tells award winners beforehand (even informally), or is it a total surprise on the night? Genuinely curious, because if winners do get a heads-up, wouldn’t most non-winners just skip the gala?
Would appreciate hearing from anyone who’s attended before, especially how they decided whether it was worth going. Thanks!
