Crosspoint vs Stock OS
I love my Xteink X4 Reader!!!
It’s the perfect size for me. I don’t mind that it doesn’t have a backlight since I already use book lights, and I actually bought the one from their site along with the device and think it works great.
I used the original operating system for a while before deciding to try Crosspoint to see if it was worth switching to. So far, I do like that it feels faster than the stock OS. I think if Crosspoint added a boot password option and dark mode, it would be nearly perfect.
The main reason for my post, though, is an issue I’ve noticed with the sleep screen wallpaper and image display. Since installing Crosspoint, all of the pictures on my SD card seem much darker than they were on the original OS. They looked completely fine before, so I’m not sure what’s causing it.
I’m also having an issue where images in the ebook I’m currently reading won’t display properly. They didn't show up at all using the stock OS but now they just show up as black squares. I’m reading Stephen King’s Fairy Tale, and the chapter images display perfectly fine on my phone, just not on my Xteink reader.
Does anyone know if there’s a fix for either of these issues? Other than that, I’ve really been enjoying it.
