Thanks to this Reddit group I was able to get all of my passports without paying for the extra fees.

We have a trip planned for 8/21 and were in need of 4 new passports and 2 renewal.

We first applied for the 4 new ones on July 10th. On July 14th they were processing. We Recieved 3 out of 4 around July 26th.

On August 5th i Recieved an email that I needed to respond to via mail about the 4th passport. I responded on the 8th via priority mail. I called on August 14th to get an appointment at the passport center, and put my bank information on file for expediting fees. August 17 I was charged for shipping fees. August 18th the final passport arrived.

As for the renewals, we applied online

One was applied for on July 15th and was received around 8/5

The second one was applied for on August 4th (with the extra shipping fees) and was received on August 13th.

I mailed off my kids passport on July 17 and finally received corresponding just now about why I haven’t received it. It was definitely my error in writing down his social security number 🤦🏾‍♀️ with that being said..we are going to be within our two week window as of Friday for our trip….do I respond to the letter tomorrow (maybe overnight it?) , schedule an appointment with a passport agency on Friday, or do both?

(US Question) I applied for my kids passports on 7/10….and I received confirmation on 7/15 they were being processed. Today (9/25) I received 3 out of the 4. When i check the status of the 4th one it says not available….ive been checking for the past few days….should I be worried that my missing child was rejected? Would it say it online and/or something in the mail?
