How is Dwarka Expressway infrastructure compared with Gurgaon ?

Hi there,
Just wanted to check with people living in a housing development in Dwarka Expressway. We know that this area has attracted many people from the point of view of investment opportunities in real estate. But my question is from someone who has been living there and experienced the life of the area during all circumstances. We know that the monsoon rains wreaks havoc in many parts of Gurgaon year after year. There seems to be no sign of any improvement in water logging in Gurgaon from the authorities. I have been advised to be careful about property buying in and moving to Dwarka Expressway area where reputable builders have taken advantage of property boom in the market recently. My concern is about the infrastructure of Dwarka Expressway in view of Haryana government’s inability to provide good infrastructure to Gurgaon and perhaps Dwarka Expressway is not going to be any different . If someone has been planning to move to live there permanently is it really worth exploring the options?

Why I started the Vasant Kunj Literary Circle

A couple of weeks ago, I posted here about the Vasant Kunj Literary Circle. The response was very encouraging, and we now have around twenty carefully gathered members.

I am a physician and writer, but above all a lifelong reader. I started reading literature at an early age, and books have remained a constant companion throughout my life.

I grew up in an India where time moved slowly and people paused to talk, had a moment for reflection and listened to music on a transistor radio. Today, we carry the world in our pockets. Technology has transformed our lives enormously, but constant scrolling and instant stimulation can also make sustained attention and meaningful conversation increasingly difficult.

That is one reason I started this Circle — to create a small space for reading deeply, thinking slowly and exchanging ideas thoughtfully. Literature asks us to stay with an idea, enter another person’s world, reflect, disagree and remain curious. It
requires a lot more attention to read a book than scrolling on the phone.

Technology, including AI, will continue to transform our lives in an unpredictable way . Alongside it, I believe we should also protect our capacity for attention, reflection and human connection.

That is what I hope the Vasant Kunj Literary Circle can become.

Read deeply. Think freely. Debate wisely.
