WIGI right before a transfer process

Context: soft offer in hand for VA to VA social work transfer and working towards FO. My WIGI due in 7 days. Gaining facility HR requested losing HR POC to coordinate my transfer but the timing concerns me. My soft was issued at a 2, which was accurate at that time but I’m due for a 3. I’m hoping the FO reflects the change to step 3. Will the WIGi still process after HR contacts my current HR or would that stop the action? My concern is that they do a personnel action that triggers the FO prior to my step increase, meaning that I’d be a 3 here but a 2 there. Anything I can or should be doing to try to protect this step increase? The new facility is on a special salary rate for SW if that matters here. Thanks!

low risk suitability VHA lateral transfer

Does the background check transfer or at least go any faster when transferring laterally to the same role at a different VA? My first one as a new hire took a long time so curious if a transfer would be any different.

Scenario: I received the notice of suitability for old job A 3 years ago but transferring VA to VA for new role soon

Never had anything more than VHA suitability/low risk. No drugs or crime. Thanks

pay and step special salary rate locations

Do hybrid 38 clinical social workers maintain their step when doing lateral transfer to an area with special salary rate?

Relatedly, if you receive a new step increase at losing facility after the tentative but before the final gets issued, will the final offer reflect the recently gained step increase or will it stay the same step as when you applied and received tentative? Thanks for any insight

Apartments with bundled utilities and no roach issues?

I’m looking for an apartment where upon move in the internet at least, and as many utilities as possible, are already turned on and paid to the complex so I have fewer separate bills. So far, I’ve found The Hudson and Bridgeway that fit this but Bridgeway has bad reviews that cite roaches. Am I missing any gems? I prefer not to live right downtown.

I’m also considering The Haven even though it doesn’t include utilities. Any tea on these 3 or other local recommendations? I care about no roach problems, safety, and convenience of utility bundling more than anything. I couldn’t care less about pools, playgrounds, and gyms but it seems they basically all have these. Thanks!
