Complete beginner — what guitar should I buy and where should I start?

I’m completely new to guitar and honestly don’t know much about guitars or how to choose one.

I want to start learning guitar from scratch, but I’m not particularly interested in classical guitar. I’d mainly like to learn to play songs, chords, melodies, covers, etc.

What type of guitar would you recommend for a complete beginner? Acoustic, electric, or something else?

Also, what should I learn first and what would be a good learning path for the first few months?

If possible, I’d also appreciate some specific beginner-friendly guitar recommendations and things I should look for/avoid when buying one.

Budget: 3.5k

If ₹3.5k is too low for a decent beginner guitar, should I increase my budget, and if so, what price range would you recommend?

Thanks!

Sleeping 11–12+ hours every day and still feeling exhausted — low vitamin D/B12 and elevated TSH. What should I do?

I am 21M. I've been sleeping 11–12+ hours a day and still don't feel properly rested when I wake up. I'm trying to figure out whether there's an underlying medical reason and how I can eventually get back to a normal daily routine.

I also work out at the gym for around 2 hours every day, so I'm wondering whether my training/recovery could also be contributing to the fatigue.

I recently had blood work done and these were some of the abnormal results:

  1. Vitamin D — 9.8 ng/mL

- Lab reference range: 30–100 ng/mL

- My result: 9.8 ng/mL

- This is significantly low; levels below 12 ng/mL are considered a risk for vitamin D deficiency.

- I've already started taking a vitamin D capsule once a month, as prescribed by my doctor.

  1. TSH — 6.623 µIU/mL

- Lab reference range: 0.35–4.94

- My result: 6.623

- My T3/T4 were reportedly normal.

- From what I understand, this can be consistent with subclinical hypothyroidism, but I don't know whether this is actually responsible for my symptoms.

  1. Vitamin B12 — 166 pg/mL

- Lab reference range: 187–833 pg/mL

- My result: 166 pg/mL

- I have already completed 6 doses of vitamin B12 injections (1 lakh mcg each) as prescribed.

- I understand that B12 deficiency can cause fatigue and weakness.

My current situation

I can sleep for 11–12+ hours and still wake up tired, sluggish and not fully refreshed.

I train for approximately 2 hours every day as well.

I'm currently taking only:

- Creatine

- Fish oil

- Prescribed vitamin D

- I've completed the prescribed B12 injections

I'm not currently taking a multivitamin or any other supplements.

I'm not trying to self-diagnose. I'm trying to understand whether the deficiencies/thyroid results, my training and recovery, or something else could be contributing to the excessive sleepiness.

What I'm mainly looking for advice on:

- Should I consider adding any other supplements, or should I avoid adding anything until I have more blood work done?

- Are there any other blood tests I should ask my doctor about to investigate why I'm sleeping 11–12+ hours and still feeling tired?

- Would CBC, ferritin/iron studies, folate, free T4, anti-TPO antibodies or other tests be useful?

- Could training for ~2 hours every day be contributing to the fatigue?

- If the deficiencies are corrected but the excessive sleepiness continues, what other things should I investigate?

I'd especially appreciate responses from people who have had similar blood results and experienced 11–12+ hours of sleep with persistent fatigue, and what eventually helped them.

I'm already following treatment prescribed by my doctor. I'm mainly looking for experiences and ideas about what I should discuss with my doctor next.

Which SSC CGL mock test series is actually worth it?

There are so many options like Testbook, Oliveboard, Adda247, PracticeMock, etc. I'm confused about which one to choose.

Which mock test series helped you the most in SSC CGL preparation? Are the free mocks enough, or should I buy a paid test series?

Bose was affordable when I was broke. Now I'm not broke and Bose isn't affordable.

Hey fam:)

I'm looking to buy a pair of over-ear headphones.

Right now I already have:

Apple EarPods

Samsung AKG wired earphones

Samsung Buds 3 Pro

So I'm pretty much covered for earbuds, but there's just something about over-ear headphones that feels way more comfortable and cozy for long listening sessions.

About 1.5 years ago, I really wanted to get a pair of Bose headphones when they were on sale, but I couldn't afford them at the time. Now that I can, the prices seem almost double what I remember, which hurts a little lol.

My budget is around ₹10,000. Should I:

  1. Buy something else in this price range?

  2. Stretch the budget a bit for a better option?

  3. Just wait and hope Bose goes on a good sale again?

Usage is mostly music, movies, YouTube, and occasional travel. ANC would be nice, but comfort and sound quality are my main priorities.
