Day 3 Progress: Back on track
Helloo guys, finally checking in for Day 3. I was down with a really high fever for the last two days and honestly had zero energy to open a book. It's super frustrating when your body just forces you to pause your study plan. But today, I finally gathered the strength to get back on track! It feels really good to get back into the routine, even if I'm still recovering a bit. Here's what I managed to cross off the list today with red ticked off
English: OWS from Blackbook 1-150, Confusing Verbs, and learning Collocations with questions.
Maths: BODMAS PYQs, 3-Digit Square calculations, and Basics of Maths.
Reasoning: Alphabetical Series Class 1.
GK: Physics Class 1.
(Haven't done the percentage one)
Taking it one day at a time right now. How is everyone else's prep going today? Keep grinding!
Feel free to drop any study tips or advice in the comments below-always looking to improve myself.
Good luck to you too!
Thank you in advance 🫶
Hey there everyone, 23 M here. After multiple Conference outs in CDS and AFCAT SSBs, I'm now looking for financial independence and have chosen CGL as my path towards that objective. Finishing my MSc in Physics this month and ready to dedicate time towards CGL. What are the things I should know, mistakes to avoid and what is the average time required for this exam's prep. I'll be really glad if you people could help..cheers.
Problem in maths subject
I am a non-maths background student. When i decided to start the preparation for the ssc exam I took Gagan Pratap sir batch . But the problem is I did not understand anything .
Percentage chapter se start kiye par 5 class tak dekhe aur kuch bhi samjh nahi aaya .
Ab mujhe samjh nahi araha hai ke koi dusare teacher se padho ya phir mere m koi problem.
Like mera dimag maths ke liye nhi bana hai.. aur maths ek important subject hai kar paper m aata hai.
Please tell me
I’m currently preparing English vocab for SSC/RRB exams and I wanted some genuine advice from people who have already gone through this phase
Right now I am doing:
- OWS (One Word Substitution)
- Idioms & Phrases
But I feel very bored and overwhelmed while doing Synonyms & Antonyms because they feel endless and lengthy.
So I wanted to ask:
What is the best way to prepare Synonyms & Antonyms for SSC level exams?
Do you guys learn them randomly, topic-wise, root-wise, or alphabetically?
Is it okay to first focus on the most asked/top 100-200 words instead of trying to cover everything?
What is the smartest way to revise vocab so that words actually stay in memory?
Besides Synonyms, Antonyms, OWS, and Idioms, what other vocab topics should I prepare for SSC/RRB exams?
How do you manage such huge vocab portions without getting mentally exhausted?
You can answer in Hindi/Hinglish as well.
Hey everyone, sharing my progress tracker for Day 2!
Totally forgot to post this yesterday (was so exhausted), so here is my Day 2 update from Sunday!
I managed to push through and tick off quite a few things:
English Vocab: Learned 01–125 One Word Substitutions (OWS) from Blackbook.
English Grammar: Knocked out the Verb complete classes (Classes 22 to 29) and Collocation Classes 31,32 and 33.
Math Basics: Started Bodmas Class 01 and did some calculation capsule practices of Squares with Base 100,, and 2-digit squares
As for today (Monday): Absolutely nothing happened. 😭 Woke up with a super high fever and my body just crashed, so today was a complete rest and recovery day. Trying not to feel too guilty about it because health comes first, but it still sucks to lose momentum on Day 3.
Please share your tips and tricks too!!
Good luck to you too 💌

I am currently wokring in an IT job 6-8LPA range and want to pursue mba from top B schools but my parents keep insisting me(mostly when they see my sometime work on weekends and night)to write govt exams especially ssc cgl and in their opinion private jobs at the end of the day are not stable and worthy....but I think the salary and benifits in govt jobs are not that impressive honestly especially B grade jobs.

Starting a new streak today to build consistency and keep myself accountable. The goal is to post here daily and stick to the routine!
Today's Progress:
Vocab: Kicked off Day 1 of Blackbook, focusing on A2 One Word Substitutions (OWS) and done till 100.
Grammar: Wrapped up Tenses today! (From vol1) Next up on the checklist: Verbs.
Current Status:
Perks of living in a rural area: Beautiful 70 AQI fresh air.
Cons: The internet speed operates on a time delay from 2005. 💀 Trying to load study material and classes with this connection is a true test of patience.
Since this is Day 1, I’m wide open to your inputs...
See you tomorrow for Day 2...🫶
Hi I wanted some honest guidance from you regarding career direction and SSC CGL preparation.
I’m from a tier-3 college and currently in my final year. I learned MERN stack, built full-stack projects, and prepared seriously for developer roles. But the current IT market feels very difficult for freshers, especially off-campus. Compared to earlier mass hiring periods, opportunities now seem much lower and getting interviews has become very difficult.
Because of this uncertainty, I’ve started thinking seriously about government exams like SSC CGL too. I belong to the EWS category, but before making any major decision, I wanted honest guidance from someone who has already gone through the SSC CGL journey.
I wanted to ask:
Would really appreciate your honest advice whenever you’re free.
Heyy I've just started my prep and I am very confused as to what to study, from where and most importantly I cannot figure out when the application will be open for the exam.
Hi everyone,
I’m preparing for SSC CGL and I already have lectures of Bhutesh Sir, but I’m confused about how to properly follow them for Prelims preparation
I wanted to ask:
Which batch/course of Bhutesh Sir is best specifically for SSC CGL Pre?
Should I follow full-length lectures or one-shot/revision classes first?
How do you guys make notes from his classes?
Do you solve questions side by side or complete lectures first?
Is it enough for Arithmetic + Advanced Maths for CGL Pre?
I sometimes feel lost because there’s so much content and I don’t know the correct sequence to follow.
If anyone has studied from him and scored well, please guide me with a proper approach/timetable
Would really appreciate honest advice from experienced aspirants. 🙏
