What’s something college changed about you as a person?

Hi everyone,

I feel like college changes people in ways they don’t really notice at first. Sometimes it’s confidence, independence, social skills, priorities, or even the way you look at life and relationships.

For me, it’s interesting how a few years can completely shift your mindset compared to who you were when you first joined.

How do you feel about academics these days honestly?

At one point, academics used to feel straightforward - study, score well, repeat. But in college, things can start feeling very different depending on motivation, burnout, attendance, internships, mental health, or just trying to balance life in general.

How are you feeling about academics these days honestly? Still genuinely interested in studying, doing the bare minimum to survive, feeling burnt out, or somewhere in between?

What’s something you silently struggle with as a DU student?

From the outside, college life can look exciting and fun most of the time, but everyone usually has their own struggles that they don’t openly talk about - whether it’s academics, loneliness, pressure about the future, social anxiety, burnout, financial stress, or just trying to keep up with everything.
