Invest 10k USD all at once or gradually over time?

I have uninvested 10k USD sitting in my TFSA (in addition to some stocks and a few ETFs (SPUS & HLAL).

My question: is it smart to invest in halal ETFs all at once or gradually over time?

On a side note, what are some really good halal ETFs? Or some halal stocks to enter at this point?

***I can afford to add in 200-300 CAD to my TFSA each month.***

Can someone please help me answer this question regarding Allah and Him being the only true God?

We’re a family of practicing Muslims. Last night my 12 son and I were having a pillow talk and he posed some questions that I was ablw to answer to his satisfaction but there’s one that he still wants more clarity on - how do we know Allah is the real
God? I responded with Islam being the only religion with true monotheistic beliefs and the fact that Quran is the only Holy Book in its original form. He said he mostly gets it but wants further explanation. So I’d greatly appreciate if someone can help me navigate this query.

He said he does believe in Allah and is definitely a Muslim but is just curious.

Other questions he had:

  1. How do we know there is a God?
  2. Won’t we get bored in Jannah?
  3. Where did Allah come from or is there anyone higher than Him?

My answers:

  1. The first one was very easy - the world didn’t come into existence on its own and nothing really can. Everything requires a creator and He is the Creator. He was quickly and fully satisfied.

  2. Jannah is different from this world - it’s something we can never imagine or feel here and totally free from negative feelings of this world. There won’t be any feeling of worry, sadness, boredom, anger, depression etc. I wanted to expand further by saying that we’ll be able to see Allah but he got the point and stopped me.

  3. I referenced to Surah Ikhlas and I was pleasantly surprised that he actually knew the translation! At this point, I also told him that these questions are put in our mind by shaytaan and we should avoid overthinking. I told him I had this question too when I was little and I too sometimes think about it. We should ignore such questions and just have strong belief that Allah is One and He is the most powerful and there’s no one above Him. Once I’m prepared to answer the above question, I’ll also mention to him that part of our faith is to believe in the unseen - we don’t have to be like the non-believers who demanded to see Allah in order for them to believe.

My son is a very nice boy and a praticing Muslim. He thinks about good deeds and bad deeds a lot. He asks me questions when in doubt. He thinks about his actions and its relation to Allah’s pleasure or displeasure. He makes conscious choices in order to gain Allah’s rewards. His questions about Allah’d reality did move me from the inside. I tried not to let that show on my face but it really did get me concerned.
