Carrière Frères

I’m so excited to burn these! I posted last week asking if anyone had tried the Foret D’Hiver, and decided the notes sounded too amazing not to try it. I ordered from Coastus and have to say that they are regaining my trust a little after the whole Trudon Figurrie fiasco a few months ago. Shipping was fast, the candles were packed well, and they even included a Madurai cameo with my order.

The cold sniff smell is strong and I’m a little worried because it smells slightly like men’s cologne. I’ve had the Feu D’Hover and it’s one of my loves for colder months .

What to Plant

My vegetable garden production is winding down and I’m wondering what veggies to plant now to harvest in the fall. What veggies are y’all planting right now if anything?

Charles Farris Redolent Fig

I am in love with this scent! CF wasn’t on my radar until someone here posted about it. I grabbed a three wick on sale along with the British Expedition scent. The listed notes are- Top: Green, Leafy Fig, Cassis; Middle: Dried Fruits, Rose; Base: Velvet Woods, Amber, Coconut. I don’t detect rose or coconut at all. My novice description would describe it as the love child of Figuier and Figue 15. Very earthy and green with a bit of sweetness and spice. The throw is incredible unit and under the warmer.
