After years of freshwater I’ve made a financially terrible decision and got a reef tank.

This my first time really working with live rock is this a good set up for my 20g? I want corals eventually and 4/5 fish total.
My question is there anything I should do before I get them other than cycle the tank?

Plants have finally been established and the lotus is even sending up a lily

Anyone know what other South American fish I can put in?

x15 cardinal tetra

x6 paleatus Cory’s

x2 German black/blue ram

Looking for something either bigger or smaller that could work and has some color, any recommendations?
