Car burning quart every 1000km. Oil is liqui moly 5w40. No leaks available from anywhere. No white smoke from exhaust during idle or normal driving. Only on hard acceleration i see smoke from the back. Im in panic mode wondering if its piston rings or turbo seals. I cant test any of them at the moment. Ide just like some inside based on the symptoms ive given .
Just installed the cts catch can yesterday. It was fairly easy the most difficult part was that i have a charcoal canister on my mk6 gti and had to mount the catch can on the other side of the bay instead of the Recommended mounting point that was suppose to be in the place of the charcoal canister. Luckily i was also installing an apr cold air intake so i had some more room for the other mounting spot that was hidden under the stock air box. The other challenge i faced was the rear line from the pcv plate that connects to the intake wouldnt click on the intakes side so i had to retro fit it a bit. Any suggestions on how i can properly fit it. Ill share pictures in dms if needed.
Hi everyone, i have an issue where my car throws black smoke sometimes on hard acceleration but the smoke isnt big or severe. The car has no issues other than that. The pcv system is new. However the oil burning is a bit high a quart every 2000km. Im thinking it might be the turbo because my high pressure is working fine my pcv is fine air filter is clean but i do think my spark plugs are a bit meh. How can i know if its a turbo issue since i dont have any signs other than the black smoke on hard acceleration? Also what do i need to upgrade to a ko4 turbo and are all ko4’s hybrid or just some specific make? Sorry for all the questions but im kinda scratching my head on decisions here.
