Tips for caring for juvenile

Found this little pidgelet (squeaker? Peep?) outside a shop on a main road this afternoon. Looked very scared, backed into a corner, not moving, possibly dehydrated.

Have taken them home, put them in a box with a ceramic bowl full of shredded paper, water container and a few defrosted peas in case they’re hungry.

I’m new to pigeons, and was wondering if they should they be able to eat on their own? Is there anything else I can do to help them feel safe and recover? 🙏
