Swat Exiles First impression (spoilers)
Immediately hate the whole squad lmao. The first episode I watched of the old SWAT had me hooked immediately. I had to get through this one.
Firstly everyone is so young? Idk the original swat didn’t feel like a ‘young people cast’ type of show and so this is throwing me off — the age difference between Hondo and the team is so big but maybe that’s the point???
Secondly I always felt like Hondo was portrayed as a black angry man always temperamental can’t commit etc and I did get the character development in the first one but now we are here and it’s like this is the exact same Hondo from the first season one. Are we really about to go on a whole journey of him trying to bring the department down AGAIN. Why not just quit if being a cop is so misaligned with his values.
The cast, the divorce and the death of his mom makes me feel they were low on $$ and it was cheaper to bring other people in. I’m just not sold 😭
