
Update: ErgManiac - Concept2 tracker with AI technique analysis
Hey r/concept2! I posted here about a month ago when I first launched ErgManiac and got some great feedback. Wanted to share a quick update on what's new.
Biggest addition: AI Technique Analysis
You can now upload a 15-second side-view video of your erg stroke and get instant AI feedback. It scores each phase of your stroke (catch, drive, finish, recovery) individually, tells you exactly what to fix first, and recommends specific drills. It's like having a coach review your form on demand. 5 analyses per month on Pro.
What else is in the app (for those who missed the first post):
- Photo Scan - snap your C2 monitor, AI reads everything (splits, intervals, HR, the lot)
- Concept2 Logbook sync - connect once, workouts appear automatically
- AI Training Plans - personalized periodized plans for any goal (2K, 5K, half marathon, general fitness) across 5 training zones with gym sessions included
- AI Workout Analysis - pacing feedback, zone adherence, and next-session recommendations after every workout
- Smart Analytics - split trends, auto-detected PBs, fitness scoring
I've also been lucky enough to get some support from some serious rowers. Damir Martin (three time rowing olympic medalist) has checked out the app, gave me some feedback and helped me film some promo videos.
