I’ve been deliberately putting small mistakes in my work because I know my coworker keeps copying it
A coworker has been taking parts of my reports and passing them off as his own for months.
I stopped confronting him because he always had some excuse and our manager never cared enough to look into it.
So recently I started leaving one obvious but harmless mistake in the drafts he has access to. Wrong month, duplicated number, outdated client name, something like that.
Before I submit mine, I fix it.
Three times now he’s copied the mistake into his own work and had to explain it when someone caught it.
He still hasn’t figured out why this suddenly keeps happening to him.
I know I should probably deal with this like an adult, but watching him confidently submit something he stole from me and then get questioned about it has been extremely satisfying.
