Eating with a dental flipper

Hello! thanks in advance for any advice. I had #13 pulled and received a flipper from my dentist. It fits great and I am healing well. However I have yet to eat with it in. For those of you that do and have, what is your experience ? any tips?

Question for a flipper next to a crown

I have a crown on #14 and had #13 extracted and was given a dental flipper. Due to financial constraints I am waiting a few months to have the screen for an implant put into the #13 spot. is it okay for me to chew on this side? if I take the flipper out to eat does it structurally risk damage to the crown since there is not a tooth beside it? I guess I am asking if I should eat with the flipper in to keep the crown stable or is it okay on its own? I’m stressed and my dentist is not helpful at all and just brushed everything off. this is my first ever extraction/partial experience so maybe I am overthinking it.
