🎬 Video Editor - Travel Challenge Channel | Long-term | Short + Long Form
We're a couple traveling the world making location-based challenge content. Check the channel before applying: youtube.com/@ReroutedTogether
Examples: Think Michael DiCostanzo-style shorts and Jetlag The Game-style long episodes - that's the direction.
We have a full Figma design system (titles, maps, scoreboards, timers, player names - all built). Your job is editing, animation, and sound. Not design from scratch.
What you'd be editing:
- 3 shorts/week (~60-90s) - fast-paced challenge/game clips
- 1 long episode every 2 weeks (~15-20 min) - game show format, multi-camera (2 POVs).
What we need:
- Clean multi-cam sync (2 devices, filmed on iphone)
- Tight cuts, high pace, easy-to-follow story, please check the examples
- Animate existing Figma assets + SFX
- YouTube-safe music/SFX libraries(we’re open to buy if needed)
- Subtitles when needed
- Revisions via Frame.io integrated in your editing software.
Pay:
We're just starting, so we obviously don't monetise anything yet, but we’re happy to pay for the work and performance.
- Shorts: $15/clip
- Longs: $100/clip
- Viral bonus on top - shorts hitting 100k/500k/1M and longs hitting milestones get bonus payouts. We're a growing channel and want the editor to win when we win.
Turnaround: 1-3 days for shorts | 4-7 days for longs
This is a long-term collaboration. We're not looking for one-and-done. Price accordingly - we want someone who grows with the channel. We do monthly video reviews, and your ideas and feedback genuinely shape how we improve, also possibility to increase.
Test (paid): Based on portfolios, we'll select 3 candidates for a paid test:
- 1 short edit: $15
- 1 long segment (~5 min): $20
