I (30 M) live in Ridgewood and am looking for some local volunteer opportunities. Possibly teaching, community outreach or even activism of some sort. I have a 9-5 working at an audio post production facility, and I also work at a few different music studios occasionally. Im a saxophonist, I’m interested in music production and performance, comedy, sciences, biking, and cooking.

What do yall know about around here?

Has anybody taken the source connect 4 (Studio/Facility) course/certification for engineers? Was it worth it? Should I just read the manual instead?

I have some Genelecs to test. 8030Bs, and 8040As. They all seem to be functional and pass signal. How do I use pink noise or sine waves in pro tools to be sure they’re all working at full range and have the same frequency responses? Do I need an SPL meter?
