scared of not being able to get a job

I got all 9s in my GCSEs, picked A-levels which were wrong for me and also had mitigating family and mental health circumstances, achieved A* in maths, B in further maths, and C in physics. Managed to get into History at Uni of Edinburgh which is my actual passion, will work extremely hard to get a strong 2:1 or first.

Aspirations to be a solicitor at a magic circle firm or similar, or go into consulting/finance. However, some magic circle firms say they require AAB at A-levels, and most top firms for consulting and finance say they want a strong academic background.

Ultimately I’m just scared of unemployment in the future and my degree and A-levels not being eligible for the best jobs.

how bad really is the situation in the uni?

i know you all must get this question so much but bear with me i’m just an anxious student!

i’m coming to study history in september. realistically, in the HCA department, how bad is the marking situation? i really want to strive for a first or a strong 2:1 as i want to become a barrister.

and the rest of the quality of life in the HCA and the uni in general. how is it? is it as bad as some people and the reviews say?
