Safe to say we upgraded 🥴

I’ve been searching fb marketplace ever since getting my baby Leo for a bigger upgrade. And friends, I found the unicorn. 36x18x18 with lights, light stand, branches, and a large hide for $40. I jumped on it as soon as I could, and now I’m just staring at this behemoth. Previous owner let me know it housed a bearded dragon for a while, and then sat untouched in their basement for a significant time. I’m stuck in an ADHD freeze not knowing where to even begin and how to properly clean this before letting my girl explore her new McMansion. Anyone have any tips or suggestions? Pic of my sweet Lucy for attention 😍

First time shedding

Is this what pre-shed looks like? First time gecko owner and I’m simultaneously fascinated and panicking 😭

Overnight my little leopard gecko turned SUPER dull and grayish/purple and it honestly startled me at first. She hasn’t started peeling yet, but from what I’m reading this means her first shed is coming soon?

She’s acting normal otherwise, climbing around, exploring, and staring at me judgmentally as usual 😂

I’m excited because it means she’s growing, but I’m also nervous I’m going to somehow mess this up. I have a humid hide ready and I’m obsessively checking her toes already.

Please tell me this little dusty marshmallow is normal 🦎

First two pictures are now, last picture is her yesterday.

My 5 year old daughter is obsessed with geckos, and I was well…not….So naturally we had to get a baby leopard gecko at a reptile show. 😅 Well long story short baby Lucy found a way into my heart and I am now becoming gecko obsessed myself lol she even crawled onto my open palm yesterday and hung out with me for a bit!

Can you tell me your thoughts on her tank so far?(Don’t judge the water bottle hide, I had to get inventive for the damp hide)

Also, if anyone has a gecko that looked like Lucy as a baby I’d LOVE to see grown up photos. TIA
