Stucked with windshield installation. Please help.

Hi everyone,

I installed the housing but I'm lost installing the windscreen I don't know the order or the way screws and washer go. It should be easy but this item came with a piece of paper and some dark pictures that are not even of a Vulcan S. No instructions at all, I had to figure it out on my own. Any ideas?

Delkevic

I have this Delkevic exhaust installed on my 2019 Vulcan S. It was already on the bike when I bought it. It sounds good, but it’s too loud for my taste.

I commute on the bike whenever the weather is nice so I can avoid putting too many miles on my leased car. The problem is that the low-frequency drone at highway speeds gives me a headache. Also, when I get home from work at night, the loud rumble can wake up my neighbors.

I’m considering installing an OEM exhaust because I plan to take some long-distance trips, and there’s no way I can ride for five hours while listening to that horrible drone.

Is there a safe way to make the Delkevic quieter? The baffle is already installed. I saw someone wrap the baffle with fiberglass muffler packing, but I’m not sure whether that’s effective or advisable.

Any ideas?

My son is a Marine who survived a suicide attempt. I’m trying to understand what happened.

I’m the father of a young Marine who recently attempted suicide.

He survived, but suffered a serious traumatic brain injury. The last several weeks have been something I never imagined my family would go through. We went from wondering whether our son was going to live, to watching him slowly wake up, follow commands, communicate with us, and begin a very long rehabilitation process.

I'm keeping his name, unit, location, and most of the circumstances private because I don't want to identify him or interfere with anything involving his command.

I'm also not posting this to attack the Marine Corps or blame his leadership. I'm his father, and I'm trying to understand how a young man can get to the point where he feels that death is his only option.

Before this happened, my son was proud of being a Marine. Even after everything he has been through, I recently asked him whether he wanted to get back to his base and be a Marine again. Because speaking is still difficult for him, we communicate partly through a whiteboard. He indicated yes.

That hit me hard.

It made me realize that whatever happened inside his head, his identity as a Marine still means something to him.

Since this happened I've been reading about suicide in the military, mental health, financial stress, relationships, loneliness, toxic leadership, and the pressure young Marines sometimes put on themselves. There were things going on in my son's life that we didn't fully understand until afterward. Like a lot of parents, I keep going back through conversations wondering what I missed.

I would especially like to hear from Marines and veterans who have been in a very dark place themselves.

What was going through your mind?

Did the people around you know how badly you were struggling?

Was there something about Marine Corps culture that made it harder to ask for help?

And if you came through it, what actually helped you?

I'm not looking for someone to blame. I'm trying to understand my son and hopefully understand this issue better.

Please understand that this is still very raw for our family. I'm happy to answer reasonable questions, but there are some details about my son and the incident that I won't share publicly.

Semper Fi, and thank you to anyone willing to share their experience.

BNS Penumbra, Boscali Super Carrier operations.

I was a guest onboard a Boscali super carrier during operations to attack Feldspar Airport. I even got to be in the bridge and air boss tower.

Has anyone played OP Rising Tsunami Extended?

This has been my favorite mission by far. I find it extremely difficult, especially since I prefer playing solo. I still haven’t been able to finish it because it takes me so long that I either run out of time or get tired, frustrated, and quit.

What really gets me is that halfway through the mission, an enemy reinforcement fleet appears out of nowhere and retakes Felsdpart Airport. Meanwhile, your carriers parade right in front of the enemy bay as if they’re begging to be sunk. Once you lose the carriers, you lose the mission.

Does anyone have a better strategy for completing it solo?

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my situation in case it helps someone going through something similar.

This all started a few months ago with urinary symptoms that turned out to be a pretty stubborn E. coli infection. Things escalated and I ended up in the hospital for 5 days, with complications including epididymitis. I went through multiple rounds of antibiotics over the past few months trying to clear everything.

Finally, about 2 weeks ago, my tests came back clear for E. coli.

Yesterday I had a cystoscopy, and thankfully everything looked normal no strictures, tumors, or anything concerning. The only thing noted was a slight prostate enlargement, but nothing that requires intervention right now.

I also had a urine flow test, which didn’t show anything alarming.

At this point, my symptoms have improved a lot. I still get occasional discomfort, but it’s nothing like before. Based on everything, I’m starting to think there may be some pelvic floor involvement contributing to the lingering sensations.

Overall, I feel like I’m finally coming out of this whole ordeal. It’s been mentally and physically exhausting, but things are moving in the right direction. I’m planning to return to work on May 6.

If anyone is in the middle of something similar especially dealing with infections that turn into lingering symptoms just know it can get better, even if it takes time.

Happy to answer any questions.
