Anyone Here Successfully Buy a Car With Bad Credit?

Hey everyone, I recently moved for a new job and my current car is honestly on its last legs. I have been trying to get approved through banks but my credit score took a hit after a rough couple of years so it hasn’t been easy at all. It sounds good because I need something reliable pretty soon but I’m also worried about ending up with really high payments or buying a car that turns into a headache later.

Has anyone here bought from a place like this before? How was your experience and what should I pay attention to before signing anything?

Why do so many people choose monthly payments even when they have savings?

I always assumed that if someone had the money, they’d just pay for a car upfront and avoid monthly payments completely. It seemed like the safest and simplest approach. But recently I’ve been noticing that a lot of people still go with payments, even when they could technically afford to pay cash. That made me wonder if I’m missing something. Is it mostly about keeping savings untouched, or are there other reasons like flexibility or upgrading options that make payments more appealing?

I’m trying to understand how people think about this decision, because from the outside it doesn’t seem as straightforward as I thought.
