Hi, my name is Jack, and I know the difference between a noun and an adjective

He gets it right later, but also bonus homophobia/transphobia

How do you guys not get dehydrated? Help :(

I've been vacationing in Germany from the USA for a few days and just... How? There's no drinking fountains anywhere. I'm walking for hours doing normal tourist things and I carry a bottle but it runs out and there's nowhere to buy more! I have been drinking the tap water at my hotel which I ASSUME is safe. All the water at restaurants you pay by the bottle? Also there's hardly any free public restrooms anywhere (compared to home, that is) so even if I was properly hydrated where would I go? Do you folks just go around with dry skin and dry tongues everywhere? Please advise 🥲 I normally consume 2.5 liters+ of water per day back in the states!

Edit: thank you all so much for your responses!! I guess I will just have to pick up more water at the stores, and carry more with me. To those who told me to ask bartenders/baristas to refill a water, THANK YOU because that is the type of thing I didn't know was ok to do! I do not want to be impolite :)

To clear up some things:

  • I am not having trouble actually LOCATING drinkable water, especially in cities, it's more that in large public tourist attractions (e.g. museums, also the Dachau memorial I visited today) there is a lot of walking (sometimes outdoors) and no place to freely refill your water, which is very different from what I am used to. Not trying to disrespect, just wondering if you guys knew something I didn't! Also the restaurant tap water thing. Yes I am accustomed to free refills and I came in knowing that was not a thing here but I was a little unprepared.

  • I have a high water intake on advice from my doctor, but I am not diabetic.

Again thanks everyone for your help :)

I live in a building with shared laundry between all residents. There are three machines. There are over 30 residents. People are constantly using multiple machines at once, as though washing every single article of clothing they own. But what's worse than that is that ONE person cannot stop using such an exorbitant amount of fabric softener that the entire machine gets jammed up and it condenses into a block of wax in the soap tray. STOP IT. HOW ARE YOU EVEN MANAGING THIS?? How can anyone be so careless with shared machines?? Is the tragedy of the commons really this tragic? Good gravy!
