Hi guys! I'm looking into buying a 2008-2010 tC as a beginner in the car scene. I'm wanting to learn to do my own maintenance and am wondering how challenging the first gen tC is to work on. (As someone who has never worked-worked on a car)

What parts tend to fail? What parts seem to never give up?

Also what do you guys like and dislike about the first gens?

Is it a bad idea to buy a 20 year old car knowing im going to have to work on it when I'm new to the car scene and have never worked on one? I know how to change the engine air filter and check the fluid levels :)

About how hard is it learn everything else? Can I just youtube my way through it?
