Cookie Monster was in Irvine!

This bit was For Sure filmed at the Great Park! (See the giant Orange Balloon behind Cookie.) Did anyone get an opportunity to see this when it was filming? I feel like I missed an opportunity for a brush with greatness by missing Cookie Monster in my own town.

Looking at other posts, Elmo & Grover were here, too.

My first NYPuzzle Company solve; Very difficult; 1000 pieces

Just completed this beautiful New York Puzzle Company 1000 piece puzzle. My thoughts:

PUZZLE STRUCTURE:
— BEAUTIFUL matte finish on the puzzle & the poster. Zero glare. My new standard for finishes.
— WONDERFUL and CREATIVE piece cuts. My new standard for piece shapes.
— Piece fit is loose. This makes it very difficult/impossible to move sub-assembled birds into place without them falling apart in the process.

IMAGE CONTENT:
— There are so many birds — and so many piece shapes — that the first sort is very difficult.
— Most birds are black, brown or while in Eastern/Central North America, I have learned. ;-)
— First sort took me three days, and I still was missing edge pieces until the nearly the whole puzzle was assembled (there are straight-edge shapes on the interior of the puzzle, too).

POSTER:
— OK, here is my main complaint: The puzzle company chooses to ship this puzzle without a puzzle image poster.
— You DO get a beautiful CornellLab bird poster, but this poster is not-very-helpful in solving the puzzle as the birds are not all pointing the same direction on the puzzle as they are in the poster, and the sizing of each bird image varies greatly between the puzzle and the poster.

Overall, I would not do another NY Puzzle Company Cornell Lab puzzle, due to the difficulty level, except I bought their Western Birds puzzle at the same time. ;-). I am BEGGING the puzzle company to just print an image of the puzzle on the backside of the (beautiful) poster already in the box! The puzzle quality is outstanding. I will try some of their other non-New Yorker and non-Cornell offerings in the future.

What are your thoughts on these bird puzzles? Did you find them as difficult as I did?
