Where is the web novel published in Japanese?

Hi friends!

I've just caught up on the Ave Lilium translations, even though I can speak Japanese, as I've only found digital copies of the Light Novel available in Japanese. Where does the author publish their original web novel portion? Is that still being updated, or has Haneda gone fully into only working on the LN from this point forward?

Joker Festival Glasses Theory

Does anyone else think the stated reason for Joker not to be wearing his glasses during the fireworks festival feels super contrived?

I’ve been half convinced since first playing vanilla P5 that the animation studio just forgot his glasses lol

Edit for clarity:
I know that Joker doesn’t need his glasses. I’m specifically referring to this scene feeling contrived and like the dialogue of the game was written to accommodate him not having them in the anime cutscene lol

Book about an immigrant family in the late 19th/early 20th centuries from (I think) Ukraine that follows three separate generations to explore assimilation, Americanization of immigrants, class, and cultural disconnect

I have been trying to remember the title of this book forever and I would so so so appreciate it if anyone could tell me what this is!

Some other stuff I remember:

- This is a novel and fiction.
- I read this book in 2017 or 2018. I don't remember if it's more modern historical fiction or if it was written much closer to the time.
- The first POV/focus character is the grandfather of the family (at least, within the three generations) and he works in a factory in the US
- The final POV character has some job in either business or politics and has to confront that he never picked up the language of his family. He is POV character one's grandson
- There are (I think) multiple deaths in the family. The second POV character might have been killed? I'm not sure

I could be wrong about Ukraine, but I'm very sure it's Eastern European. I'm also not sure of the exact date range; it might all be 19th century, it might all be 20th century, and it might be a mix. I'm leaning mix, but I could be misremembering.

Yakuza Games — Are they misogynistic?

Hi hi!

I’ve been seeing a lot discussion about the upcoming Stranger Than Heaven and it’s made me want to try some of the other games in the Yakuza series. I got Yakuza 0 and noticed some casual misogyny from the beginning. I realize that gangster macho men types are probably more authentically represented this way, but it also doesn’t exactly compel me to play on.

I’d really like to if it’s worth it though! For fans (or not) of these games, is misogyny a factor? Is it overruled by the rest of the series’ good qualities? Is it too much?

Thanks 🤗
