[OC] Estimated people not using the internet in the 10 most populous countries, 2024

[OC] Estimated people not using the internet in the 10 most populous countries, 2024

Important limitation: these bars apply the published internet-use percentages to total populations, including children. The underlying surveys do not all cover the same ages, and I haven’t verified all-age adjustment for every country. Treat the counts as arithmetic estimates, not directly comparable counts of people of all ages.

India's estimated nonuser count was 508.6 million (35.1% of its population); Ethiopia's was 103.1 million (78.1%). This chart compares the ten most populous countries in 2024.

Compare countries beyond these ten in the full table and download the CSV: globaldatatracker.com

These are population × non-use-share estimates. Internet use means activity in the previous three months; non-use does not establish lack of internet access. Sources, tools and method are in my first comment.

[OC] Urban population share and estimated urban residents in the 10 most populous countries, 2024

India's urban share was 35.4%, compared with 80.1% in the United States. Multiplying each country's total population by its urban share gives about 513.3 million urban residents in India and 272.4 million in the US.

The chart covers the ten most populous countries in 2024, ordered by total population. Urban headcounts are derived estimates, and national definitions of 'urban' vary.

[OC] Forest-area change from 2000 to 2023 in the ten countries with the largest forests in 2000

Explore forest cover by country: https://globaldatatracker.com/statistics/forest_share?utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=gdt_20260930&utm_content=forest_chart_body

I run Global Data Tracker. The free explorer shows forest as a percentage of land area, so you can compare countries and years without signing up. That is a different measure from the absolute-area changes in this chart.

Net change in forest area, measured in million hectares. Countries were selected by their reported forest area in 2000, not by the size of their subsequent change. Natural and planted forests are combined; this is not a measure of primary forest or gross tree-cover loss. Source and calculation details in the first comment. Chart made with Python/Matplotlib.

Life expectancy vs GDP per capita, 2024: is the log-scale labeling clear?

I made this scatterplot for Global Data Tracker, which I own, and would appreciate a design critique. It compares 200 World Bank countries and areas with both indicators available for 2024.

The x-axis is GDP per capita in current US dollars on a logarithmic scale; the y-axis is life expectancy at birth. Each dot has equal visual weight. This is a descriptive country-level comparison, not evidence that income alone causes a particular life expectancy. GDP here is nominal, not purchasing-power adjusted.

Would you keep the four country callouts, or do they pull too much attention away from the overall pattern? Is the logarithmic axis clear without reading the notes?

Data: World Bank WDI, SP.DYN.LE00.IN and NY.GDP.PCAP.CD, 2024 values from a snapshot retrieved 13 September 2026. Missing pairs and nonpositive GDP values are excluded; no missing values were filled. Chart: Python/Matplotlib, with AI assistance for implementation and wording.

I made a free way to explore World Bank country statistics without starting in a spreadsheet

I’m building Global Data Tracker, a free browser-based explorer for 217 countries and areas. It has country profiles, historical charts, comparisons and an optional 3D globe. No account is needed.

A simple way to try it: pick a country, look up GDP per capita or internet use, and check how it has changed over time. Open the source notes before comparing countries: the latest available years can differ, and missing data isn’t zero. Moving counters are estimates, not real-time measurements.

I own the project and built it with AI/Codex assistance. I’d value feedback on one practical thing: can you find a statistic for your country quickly, or does the navigation get in the way?

Global internet use, 2005–2024 — does the headline callout help?

I’m building Global Data Tracker (GlobalDataTracker.com), a free country-stat explorer. I made this chart to test how clearly a global series can be communicated; the exact domain is also printed on the image.

It uses the World Bank WDI world series IT.NET.USER.ZS: internet use rose from 15.6% of the global population in 2005 to 71.2% in 2024. These are annual estimates, and the series begins in 2005.

Design critique: does “from 1 in 6 to 7 in 10” make the change easier to read, or repeat what the line already shows? Would you keep the 2020 and 2024 labels, or simplify further? Source is printed in the image; chart built as a Node.js-generated SVG.

AI Undetectable: humanize drafts with separate essay, article and marketing modes

Introduction: I'm the founder of AI Undetectable, an AI rewriter and humanizer designed to help AI-generated drafts pass AI detectors.

Key features: Basic and Stealth rewriting, with separate settings for essays, articles, marketing copy, stories and general writing. The editor puts your original beside the rewrite. Text and image detection are also available; access depends on the plan.

Who it's for: Writers working from an existing draft. This is an established product I'm rebuilding, not a new launch or an independent recommendation. Detector results vary, so a rewrite isn't a guaranteed pass.

Pricing: After a 3-day trial, monthly plans are $9.99 for 10K words, $19 for 20K, or $31 for 35K. Annual plans cost $60, $114 or $189 per year, with the same monthly word allowances. Stealth uses two credits per word; Basic uses one.

Offers: The 3-day trial and annual billing discount are the current offers. There isn't a free live-rewriting tier.

AI Undetectable: different rewrite modes for essays, articles, marketing and stories

I built AI Undetectable, an AI rewriter and humanizer designed to help AI text pass detectors. One part of the editor that's worth showing is the writing-type selector.

Essay mode asks the model to keep the argument and use a measured voice. Article mode focuses on readable prose. Marketing mode asks for concise, benefit-led copy without adding fake urgency or product claims. Story mode works on voice and pacing while keeping the plot and point of view.

These are different rewrite instructions, not just different labels. Choose a type, paste your draft, then compare the original and rewrite side by side. You still need to review the result.

Generation starts with a 3-day trial, then a paid plan. AI helped prepare this walkthrough.

[OC] AI-detector scores for six unchanged texts, before and after a repeat check

Six saved model outputs were checked again on July 11, 2026 without editing the text. ZeroGPT returned the same six scores; AI Detector returned six different scores. This small control check does not establish which detector is more accurate or why the scores changed.

I run AI Undetectable, an AI humanizer. This is our own research, not an independent product review. AI helped prepare the chart and post. Sources and tools are in the first comment.

Stop Posting that 1 Prompt Burnt x Percentage!

A prompt is not a measure of difficulty or compute. 1 Prompt can literally be "build me GTA 6". It's just meaningless to use it as a unit of measurement.
