I struggled to find comparisons and before/after to really settle on the look. Sharing the change here so folks can see it on the azure grey.

Looking for RGB Downlights (Matter) to fit these boxes.

I have three outdoor soffit fixtures that currently have dumb lights installed using the screws to twist the fixture on.

I want to upgrade to an RGB down light versus the basic led that I have now. I’d rather not have to cut larger holes… thoughts? Recommendations?

Would like it to connect to Apple Home, preference for matter compatible.

Heat/Bermuda Question (Oklahoma)

With the heat, my lawn is stressed. I have upped watering, and need to mow, but I do t want to do damage. I am getting seed heads… it’s also time to feed it…

Will it harm it to put down a fertilizer and mow bqck the seed heads. I will keep it longer, just want to clean up the scraggy look.

This heat has been rude to it, and I want my golf course back :)

Gear Suggestion (Fitness and Armor) - Plate Carrier

Hey all, I am on a journey to lose weight, down over 90lbs this year, still have 50-70 to go depending on where my body and health land.

I’d like to improve my walks cardio and fitness impact with a weight vest, but I’d love a good quality plate carrier that could adjust to fit my 2xl torso and the likely L final size I expect to end up at.

Would hold weights and or plates, so I can add 20-30lbs of additional effort on walks and my jogging that has recently started to be added.

Any suggestions from my preferred liberal community?

Also I am a fat bearded white dude in Oklahoma, so a I think I need it to be very not-traditional in color or style.

You know, hot pink would work ;)

Full Trip - 4K Miles / 2026 AWD Hybrid Lariat w/4K Tow (TLDR 34.1MPG w~74hrs driving)

This was a 16 day trip from Oklahoma to California. Went through good and bad weather. Wind, rain, sub 50 temps and over 110 desert days, night and day driving, gridlock and open roads.

Started trip with ~700 miles on the truck, reset trip 2 for tracking. See picture captions. I did miss a few timing points so I might be off on my pictures by a nuance.

I used adaptive cruise a lot, so handy, kept at speed limits or below when traffic was an issue. Easy driving, only time stomping gas was to get up to speed after a cactus watering event ;)

Sharing not to ask questions, but to give people an idea on how this looks on a long trip.

One person, luggage cargo only, did haul a fridge at one point for someone in the bay (5 miles).

I am extremely satisfied with mileage. I will do this trip 3-5x a year. I am doing it again in a few months, with cooler weather and a broke in engine, so I will probably log this again for an idea. Sometimes my trips are 3500miles, sometimes 4500.

Only complaint is that the truck has squeaks and rattles on rough road, and lariat seats need ventilation badly. AC was used the whole time, only window use was to suck farts out with the rear power window.

2026 Lariat Hybrid (4K) Mileage/Efficiency on Long Trip

I just drove 1304 miles across country and wanted to share the details. Truck is new, and barely crossed 650 before I started this trip.

-Oklahoma City to San Diego County
-Good weather/wind. Ran into a rain storm in Albuquerque.
-Temps ranged from 70 to 115F.
-Drive during day, started around 7am, split in two days.
-Cruise control nearly the entire trip, did speed limit.
-Freeway speeds ranged from 55-75. Most was at 75.

Hills. They are the killer, going uphill tanks mileage hard. In general, holding around 34mpg as rated was possible, any time speeds were 65, even the uphill was around 32-34mpg.

Downhill was beautiful, with some areas giving me 70+mpg over short stretches.

All in, it landed pretty much where it is rated. I will share the conclusion of the trip after spending two weeks out here and driving back. Should be 3800-4300 for the whole trip.

Will post again when I land back home.

edit: chose shitty flair… realized cannot edit. Sorry :(

NSV: 38.2 vo2 Max!

This has been a year so far, down 88lbs, diabetes diagnosis, cardiovascular issues w/branch block, hyper tension and an ER visit at 190/110…

Today I just crossed the threshold of “below average” for my age in vo2 max.

38.2! I started the year at 26, and was as low as 23.

Walking 1-2 miles every few days in January, turned to 2-3 miles every day by march, now I do 3-4 miles daily, with alternating days where I jog and walk, versus just walk.

Today I walked a 7.5mile morning “relax” before mowing and have cleared 18,000 steps by noon.

This drug is saving my life. The little victories make me happy. I still medically have a lot of fixing to do, but i never would have done this before.

I jogged a 5k earlier this week in 44minutes. I was sweaty as fuck, but my HR never cleared 145. My legs hated me though ;)

Just had to put this somewhere, cause I feel good. Looking forward to my cardiologist follow up Monday.

Jan 29th... Diagnosis at 7.7 A1C to May 13th... 5.9!

I needed to hear this boost today, and I am sharing with folks who may appreciate the small feeling of a win this is. This week has been a health roller coaster.

I was also diagnosed with hypertension in January, and it was quite high - so I went on Lisinopril, had that increased in March. It has not been working 100%, but I was out of the 160/100 range and more in the 135/90 range.

A few weeks back I had a scare when traveling with palpitations, and my apple watch said Afib. I booked a cardiologist, BP spiked due to the stress of it, and we did a zio monitor. I show signs of an incomplete right branch block, which may be providing a wide QRS reading on my Kardia 6L...

We thought it was doing well, then on Tuesday I just felt off. My BP was back at 160/100 at home, and I felt not bad, but not good. I ended up choosing to go to the ER after calling telemed, cause my primary care said if you suspect hyperkalemia - ER. Now.

I have a bad head cold. My BP in the ER hit 190/110, and they brought me down. Added a new beta blocker to go with my ACE, and my BP is normalized, and I feel good except for the head cold.

I have this nagging feeling that if I didn't get diagnosed diabetic and start paying attention / doing all the right things, there is a strong chance something unseen would have taken me - cause all of those events would have happened anyways...

So to get the news of 5.9 A1C after just over 4 months... WOOOOO! Still a long journey, still 273lbs (but not 347 anymore!)

So I had a work trip a few weeks ago, and had to scramble to find pants that fit in my closet… I had some 44s and 42s… they were a bit loose, but I cinched a belt down.

I went to Costco today and decided I needed some pants for interim and a trip coming up again and $20 was cheap.

Grabbed three pairs of 40s. I need to return them. Apparently I wear a 38 now.
