Hey everyone, just finished making a minimalist flap wallet made entirely from a hatch grain (embossed) shell cordovan. This is a brown Metta Catharina shell from Shell Cordovan Co, and made to resemble the traditional old school Russian embossed leather. They updated their process a bit and it is hot stuffed, so it has a dense and waxy feel!

Just finished this vertical cardholder for a redditor using a red-brown colored shell cordovan from Shinki Hikaku, the legendary Japanese tannery in Himeji. This shell has a deep, natural sheen and incredible density, absolutely beautiful and great to work with. The interior is also gorgeous, a premium kangaroo leather from Packer in here in Queensland, Australia, lightweight and strong. Seems to be a popular color combo!

Just finished this bifold as a commission, they asked me for a funky color combo that I think turned out well! This was made using a purple exterior leather from Conceria Walpier in Tuscany, Italy. It’s not Buttero, but it has a very similar full-grain, vegetable-tanned feel and a really rich color in hand.

It's a bit of a fancier version of a traditional bifold. The card slots are rotated vertically, and the card panels are lined. The card slot panels are also "floating", so it's easier to slip receipts and cards into it. The cash slot is fully lined as well.

The interior is made with vegetable-tanned kangaroo leather from Packer Leather here in Queensland, Australia. The cash slot lining and center interior panel use a pretty unusual semi-aniline kangaroo leather that was accidentally embossed with a goatskin pattern, so it’s a bit of a rare one-off from the tannery.

Just finished a cool one! This flap wallet is made of dark grey shell cordovan from Leder Ogawa in Japan. They're technically not a tannery, but are famous for their unique aniline finish on Shinki shells! I mean, I'm personally dazzled by this one.

Museum leather is hand dyed with a sponge and gives it an interesting mottled type of look.
