Canon AE-1 Program – film advance check

I loaded a roll and made sure the film leader was properly caught, but I noticed the rewind knob wasn’t turning when advancing the first few frames.

I gently turned the rewind knob to take up the slack until I felt some tension. After arming, the knob turned again. But after few hours, at the next rearm the knob didn't turn. I did the same test once again and the knob turned at the following rearm (by 180°). What’s the best test to confirm the film is actually advancing correctly? Is it worth opening the back to check, or should I avoid that and try something else first?

I'm carrying the camera in the bag, maybe the knob is loosing tension while moving in the bag?

Do Govee Flow Plus Light Bars (H6056) automatically turn back on after a power outage?

Hi everyone,

I am planning to buy the Govee RGBICWW WiFi + Bluetooth Flow Plus Light Bars (H6056) and I'm considering controlling them with a regular wall switch.

My question is: if I turn the power off at the wall switch (or if there's a power outage) and then restore power, will the light bars automatically turn back on by themselves?

I know there's a controller box between the power adapter and the light bars, so I'm not sure whether it remembers the previous state after losing power.

Ideally, I'd like them to restore the last ON/OFF state after power is restored, and turn back on automatically with the previous color/brightness settings.

Has anyone tested this with the H6056 Flow Plus bars?

Thank you in advance

LF Gholdengo

I'm looking for Gholdengo, I want to try it in a Champions team. Getting it in PoGO is a grind, I only have one and since it is a hundo I cannot send it to Home. I don't know how hard it is to obtain it in the main series games, but how can I see if someone is offering a legit one or a genned one?

And where can I find someone willing to trade it?

How to install a nias light using a switched outlet

I need to install a bias light on the back of my monitor. I've been searching on Amazon for USB-powered only LED panels, but I only found the Neewer NL10 (that I'd mount backwards, towards the wall of course). I'm searching for an USB-powered one since I'm planning to connect the LED to a switched outlet, so that I can turn it on/off by simply using the light switch on the wall. However, not only the NL10 has a minimum color temp of 3000 K (while I'd like to have a warmer light, at least 2500 K), but it also stays OFF when I turn on the light switch: it doesn't remember its state, and I have to turn it on using the button on the wired control of the LED panel... not handy at all.

Do you have any tips? I'm getting mad for such a simple task... Every other RGB LED panel has a battery, so if I turn OFF the power from the light switch, they'll stay ON thanks to the battery...

Matching mouse behavior to the physical layout of two different-sized monitors

I'm trying to set up a dual-monitor configuration in Windows, but I can't get the mouse transition between screens to behave the way I expect based on the actual physical size and position of the monitors.

Here is my setup:

  • Monitor 1: 23.8" – 1920×1080 (92.6 PPI)
  • Monitor 2: 11" – 2000×1200 (233.2 PPI) (200% scale set in Windows)

The smaller monitor is centered below the main monitor.

Current behavior

Windows seems to map the cursor transition based on the virtual desktop resolution rather than the physical dimensions of the displays.

As a result:

  • The mouse can move from Monitor 1 to Monitor 2 even when the cursor is located in areas where there is no physical monitor underneath.
  • When crossing between displays, the cursor appears to "jump" horizontally.
  • The transition does not match what I would intuitively expect from the real-world placement and size of the monitors.

(See the first image)

Desired behavior

What I would like is:

  • The cursor should only be able to move from Monitor 1 to Monitor 2 through the portion of the edge where the monitors physically overlap.
  • Areas of the main monitor that do not have the smaller monitor underneath should behave like a normal screen edge and stop the cursor.
  • Cursor movement should feel continuous and correspond to the actual physical dimensions and positions of the displays.

(See the second image)

Is there any way in Windows (or with third-party software) to make cursor transitions respect the physical size and alignment of monitors rather than only their logical resolution?

I've already tried adjusting the monitor positions in Windows Display Settings, but because the monitors have very different resolutions and pixel densities, the behavior still doesn't match the physical layout.

I haven't found any software that can accomplish this. I've tried with AI generated Python scripts that use C compiled DLLs, but I was only able to reduce the transition edge; I still can't make it consistent with the real physical sizes of the monitor.

Has anyone found a solution for this?

Remap the LED keys of caps lock and num lock on the Keychron K17 MAX QMK

Hello

I'm trying to figure out how to edit the LED keys for caps lock and num lock on the Keychron K17 Max QMK. I'd like to map the caps lock indicator to the "triangle key" (I think it is M2) and the num lock indicator (reversing it so that it stays on when the numpad is off) to the "circle key" (probably M1). I think that in this way the LED indicators will be much more visible when typing (especially the caps lock).

Is this feasibile? Which is the best way to accomplish this? Are there any risks of bricking the keyboard?

I was hoping that there was a way to do it in the Keychron Launcher, but apparently it is only possible tu turn them on/off and change the LED color, it is not possible to remap the LED indicator keys.

I'm preparing some teams for when Pokémon Champions will be released for Android; I tried to transfer some Pokémon from GO to Home, but I've noticed that the moves are randomly rerolled. Is there a way to keep the original movesets from Pokémon GO? Or is it just completely random?
