Looking for unusual/local things to do in Gdańsk with 7 guys – November 12–15

Hi everyone!

We’re a group of 7 Danish guys in our 30s coming to Gdańsk from Thursday November 12th to Sunday November 15th, and we’re looking for some ideas from locals or people who know the area well.

We have a tradition of taking a trip together once a year. We’ve previously been to places like Vienna and Italy, and this year we’ve chosen Gdańsk.

The purpose of the trip is mainly to have a good time together and experience something different. We’re not looking for a huge party/drinking trip, although a good beer tasting, vodka tasting or similar would definitely be welcome.

What we already have planned / considered

  • 🏛️ WWII Museum in Gdańsk
  • 🚶 A guided tour of the city
  • 🛶 Possibly kayaking
  • 🏎️ Possibly go-karting
  • 🏰 A day trip outside Gdańsk – we’re considering the Stutthof concentration camp and a medieval castle in the area
  • 🚗 We have access to a car for one of the days
  • 🍺 Beer/vodka tasting could be fun

We’ve also looked into motocross/ATV/quad biking, but it seems like the places we found are closed in November.

Where we could use some inspiration

Thursday afternoon/evening:
We arrive around 16:00, and currently have no plans for the evening.

Friday:
We have most of the day available and would like to find one good activity for the group.

Saturday:
We’re planning the WWII Museum and possibly kayaking, but there is room for something else.

Sunday:
More relaxed day, but we could still do something during the day before heading home.

We’re open to pretty much anything.

It could be:

  • Something cultural or historical
  • A weird/quirky local experience
  • Something you wouldn’t normally find in a tourist guide
  • A sports event we could watch
  • Something adrenaline-based that we can actually participate in
  • Food/drink experiences
  • Something outdoors
  • A day trip somewhere nearby
  • Or simply something that locals would say “you have to try this”

We don’t necessarily want the conventional “Top 10 things to do in Gdańsk” recommendations. The more local, unusual or slightly niche, the better.

So, if you had 7 friends visiting Gdańsk for four days in November, what would you make sure they experienced?

Any recommendations are very welcome! 🇵🇱
