Absence excuse for medical reasons or Sedgwick?
Hello, I recently had a an injury that left me unable to walk as effectively. I spoke to my manager the morning after (since nobody was at the store) and I informed them of what happened. I feel like I can walk better now but I still haven’t received X-ray results from my doctor (4th of July weekend) and they haven’t informed me of what my full recovery plan is. I’m worried about a callout I had because of this injury. I informed my manager of this but he said that any absences would only be excused by Sedgwick and only if I took a minimum of one week off work. I don’t want to go that route as I still need to work ofc. Does anyone have any experience with this? I’m really confused and if there’s another option where I can just have a a single absence excused I’d rather do that. Any help is appreciated and thank you!
