This is not a fishing question, but I am planning a hiking trip to circumnavigate Timpanogos, and I would be coming down from the Sundance area and wanting to cross the Provo river to get on to that multi use path on the other side.

Does anyone know if it would be reasonable to wade across the river right around the area where the Alpine Loop Road comes into the canyon?

If I get there and it doesn’t look safe, I can just walk upstream to a bridge, but I’d rather not add extra miles if I don’t have to (especially on pavement).
