Are fans too stupid to enjoy The boys final season according to new Rockstar?

Has anyone else watched the latest Breakroom aftershow for S5E07? I honestly couldn't believe what I was hearing, but considering what they said in the previous episode, I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

These hosts sit around stupidly praising the writing for this season and completely dismissing the very valid criticism of the show's pacing. Instead of admitting that the plot has severely stalled right before the series finale, they decide to blame and insult the audience.

In the new video, one of the hosts(sorry I am bad with remembering the names) actually claims that if you are bored by the lack of progression, it's because your brain is "broken" by TikTok dopamine rushes. They treat anyone who expects the stakes to actually match a penultimate episode like we just have a short attention span and want "cocaine-fueled TV"

They try to justify the meandering plot by comparing the writing of The Boys to Mad Men and Breaking Bad, acting like stalling the narrative is some high-brow masterpiece of "character development." No, it's just stupid writing. Being annoyed that the plot is grinding to a halt in the second to last episode ever doesn't mean we don't understand storytelling. It means we want the payoff we've been promised for five seasons without having the brakes pumped right at the finish line.

But wait, it gets worse. In their aftershow for Episode 6, they literally called the audience "miserable fucks." one of the hosts dismisses everyone complaining about the writing for Sage this season by saying, "People complain about everything cuz they're miserable fucks."double downing saying that if you think the writing is worse this season, "it's because you're just miserable fucks right now."

It’s incredibly frustrating to watch them act so pretentious and write off genuine fan frustration as a "stupid take". If they want to blindly defend the show and act like it has zero flaws, fine, but insulting the fans—literally calling us brain-broken and "miserable fucks"—just for wanting a functional, moving plot is absolutely ridiculous.

Sorry if this all sounds hurtful but man it's frustrating to see them defending boys, calling it's writing a sort of masterpiece.
