Hi,

I had an escape of water from the unit above. Whilst contractors were replacing the flooring, they discovered my shower flexi waste pipe had failed. The joists have rotten. I'm freaking a bit out because I don't have the funds to fix this. The plumber said it could be vermin that ate the pipe but could from drain cleaner products.

Question, I know insurance doesn't cover the pipe replacement, but will they cover the damage caused by the water as a result?? It's only because the flooring was being replaced that we discovered this. Any advice? I'm in England.
