Thinking of cashing in on 5 nights at a Marriott resort in December for 600k points.

Thoughts on where to go in Mexico/Caribbean?

- St Regis Kanai
- Casa Maat Los Cabos
- St Regis Punta Mita
- Solaz Los Cabos

Would like free breakfast and potential to explore nearby sites/cities.

Not sure if any of the StR in the Caribbean appeal to me.

I have ~600k points to spend for a mid-December trip in Mexico / Caribbean. I’m titanium and expected to be Ambo in a couple months.

Based in Toronto would be nice to have a direct flight.

Planning to go with my boyfriend (gay couple) and want to make the most of the 5 night promotion.

Couple questions:

1. When do point redemption rates start to go up for Dec vacations? Trying to figure out when to book.
2. Any suggestions on where to go? We don’t need the best beach in the world. Free breakfast would be a plus. Hotels that have a unique hard product would be cool. Lastly, looking for good variety of on property activities (eg tennis) and some off property activities (eg exploring the city).

Options we’ve considered:
- St Regis Kanai (Maya Rivieria) - leading option at this point
- Casa Maat Los Cabos
- Westin Rivieria Conchal Costa Rica (didn’t seem that impressed by the hard product / service based on reviews)

Not sure about Punta Mita given the cartel issues recently in the area.

RC Reserve properties may not be best value / prob out of budget for 5 nights.
