How do you carry a laptop safely on 30+ hour bumpy bus rides? (Heading to Leh soon)
Hey everyone,
(Full disclosure: I used AI to help me structure this post because my anxiety about this trip is real!)
I am traveling to Leh soon by bus, and it is going to be a brutal 30-hour ride. I need to bring my laptop with me, but I am absolutely terrified of breaking it due to the constant vibrations, crazy bumps, and rough mountain roads.
For those who frequently take long, rugged bus journeys, how do you pack and protect your tech?
- Do you keep it in your main backpack or a separate daypack?
- Should I leave it in the overhead bin, or keep it at my feet/on my lap the whole time?
- Are hard cases worth it, or is wrapping it in clothes safer?
I have no idea how to pull this off without ending up with a cracked screen or dead drive. Any packing hacks, gear recommendations, or survival tips for both me and my laptop would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
