Denied team lift

Very rural route, when I’ve asked for a team lift the management have told me to pound sand… other day I have ten 150pound packages… I’m going to start refusing to deliver those stops when denied a team lift.
When I’m denied a team lift and injury myself, it’s my fault…
Sorry for the rant, I’m still delivering those heavy stops but I think that’s coming to an end.

Anyone else denied a team lift?

When a senior driver’s route is deferred, is she forced to bump a junior driver or can management just give her the day off? Seniority / layoff question

Central state 638
When a bid driver’s route (Suzy) gets deferred, management has been giving her the day off and assigning work to juniors like Caleb and Bob. I thought we lay off from the bottom up — meaning junior drivers lose work first.
Main questions:
• Is Suzy forced to bump a lower-seniority driver and work their bid route, or can management legitimately give her the day off?
• Is it normal to lay off senior drivers when their route is deferred instead of offering them available work first?
Does this violate seniority rules under the contract? Should it be grieved? Experiences appreciated.
Thanks! Central states
