In the Cage bass tone question

In the Cage is an awesome song, and my favourite moment has to be the synth solo, including the little lead in to it around 3:10 that has one of Mike Rutherford’s best bass parts. My question is that the bass sounds very weird for the few seconds of solo it gets - almost like a synth is doubling it, or it’s put through some electronic processor. Does anyone know what the deal with this part is? Not knowing the answer to this has my stomach churning…

Pictures at an Exhibition

My first copy of this album on vinyl (used) turned out to be warped so I had no use for it… decided to cut out the paintings from the inner gatefold and they’ve been sitting in my room unused for a year or two before I finally put them on display. Yes it’s not true fan art because it’s the original artwork, but a fan repurposing you could say.

(Also figured I’d add my Lego creation at the end since it’s peeking into a couple of the other photos anyway)

End of Watch - not bad at all

I see this book get listed often in people’s worst books but I think it was just fine (not his best per se but that’s mostly just by process of elimination). Those who don’t like it: why? Also, how would people ranked the bill hodges trilogy?
I would probably go

What are people’s thoughts on Gwendy’s Final Task

I liked it more than many people people seem to but it wasn’t anything too special. A very nice addition to the DT universe though…
