Looking for local families in Moodyville for outdoor play / soccer — 8 yo boy

Dad, somewhat discovering that unstructured outdoor play isn't so common these days, and would love to provide my kid to have some of that 90s childhood experience. I'm looking to see if there are other families with kids around 8 y.o in the same boat.
Our son goes to school out of catchment, so he doesn't have the built-in neighborhood friend group here. We also just don't see many kids playing outside in our complex.
He's pretty big on soccer but honestly happy playing pretty much any sport. We also pop down to the river most weeks to swim or explore the creek. I'm a big believer in kids getting outside and playing. We do screen time and have tablets / Nintendo but limit it to 30 min a day.
