Excluding 4 and 5 costs ofc

Do you guys actually roll for good Wisps before Stage 4-2? Is that a core thing to do to get better placements? I never do that because it already feels hard enough to get to 8 with a healthy amount of gold to hit the highly contested 4-costs. Then i try to find a good combat Wisp for each round.
But playing like that, most games for me feel like they are over before i even get to that point, since i get completely dusted in the earlier stages. I only click the Wisps i find in my shop naturally and only if they are fitting for my current situation.
